Satsuma Oranges

You asked, so we answer!  


No, you don't have to wait for the oranges to be orange for them to be yummy.  We've been eating them for a couple of weeks now at least.  They are very, very juicy.  This is the peak time of year for them.  We have three trees in the backyard.  Each Spring they get the sweetest smelling flowers on them and then the oranges grow.  It seems like each year they have more and more oranges on them.  They will probably be all gone in another week - or sooner.  

One awesome thing about the oranges is that they have a very thin skin and are super easy to peel.  Even Peter can peel his own. They often have a little start already at the spot where they were attached to the tree.  This is shown in the picture above.  

I took a video of Faith peeling an orange yesterday morning.
