Travelling James

James is off again this week with the team from Salvation Station.  This time he's in Palestine, Tx.
He brought along our Galaxy Tablet to take pictures and send emails while he's gone.

Howdy, ya'll - James is in Texas!  (I love this picture)

Stopped at DQ I see.  The horrors of travelling . . .

Wednesday night he played for the evening service on a baby grand piano in the church.

I think he's having fun.  Will update as I am updated.

Grace is 5 Months . . .

And she's getting cuter every day!

Check out the hair!

Umm, who is this guy???

The next day she happened to match Daddy so we snapped a few pictures.

So sweet.

Baby kisses - watch out for the drool.

Tired little drooly baby with crazy hair - sounds about right!

Faith's Birthday . . . Present

There is no shortage of stuff around here - and space is at a minimum - so when the kids' birthdays roll around we like to see "experiences" on their wish lists.

This year Faith wanted to go to Dixie Landings - an amusement park just down the road from here.

It was her first time on a roller coaster.

They had a blast!

Memories and time spent together - priceless!

Fourth of July

We had a great 4th of July this year.

James came home from Illinois.

I had hoped there would be more pictures of his time at camp, but he was pretty busy.

Jon made an American flag out of Mega Blocks

On Saturday we were invited to a friend's house for a party.

We stopped off at the new Le Blanc's grocery store
(don't even think you know how they pronounce that down here)

to get some watermelon's to bring.

They had kid-size carts there - look at his face, ha!

Here are some pictures from the party.

There was food, volleyball, food, softball, food, washers (a new game I learned), food, and fireworks.  And also music.

Brian and James played ball - they ended up being on opposite teams though.

Brian on 3rd base and James as the 3rd base man.

They live out in the country so fireworks are legal (and encouraged based on the 5 or 6 fireworks stands we passed on the way there).

James, tried to look patriotic with the fireworks behind him.

Sort of worked.

Fireworks!

These were not your little back yard type fireworks.  These were huge, rivaling the display we drive to the levy to see sometimes.

I took an awesome video of them, but my phone died during the video and it was lost somehow.

We had a great time!

Faith is 11!

We celebrated Faith's birthday a couple of weeks ago already.  Been so busy around here but finally got the pictures onto the computer.

Here we are at the hospital in Brookings, SD the day she was born.

And here she is with Grace at her birthday party.

Her friend Vanessa turned 12 four days after Faith turned 11.

So we had a "double birthday" party.

The food

The girls put their own candles on the cake.

We had presents.

Then there was a sleepover. They had a lot of fun and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to see James off to Illinois for camp.

Thanks for all the cards/gifts for Faith.

Stay tuned for more . . .
