Primed and Ready

The new bedroom is primed and ready for the next step.

The hallway is also ready.

The next step is the crown molding we're going to attempt.

Wish us luck and we'll let you know how it goes!

Merry Christmas!!

Twas the morning of Christmas
And all through the place

Presents were opened

At a frightening pace.

Spritz cookies were made
lefse placed on a plate.
Christmas treats for dessert

We could hardly wait!

More and more markers

We opened some candy.

Faith got a purse

And ninja swords are quite handy.

A backpack and book

Walkie talkies times three

Some kids got money

This bill looks strange to me.

Cars

T-shirts

Games for all.

Jon started dancing

He was having a ball.

We played games together
and ate lots of nice food

We goofed around some

And cleaned up pretty good.

For the presents we thank you
With all of our might

Merry Christmas to all
and to all a
Good Night!

The end - for now . . .

Thursday was spent taping and mudding the newly hung sheetrock.

Gittin r done

Friday we took a day off to have some fun.

We went to Bass Pro Shop

And sat by the huge fire

And rode the carousel

We also sat on the four wheelers

Saw the fish

And messed around at the arcade

Then it was time to shop for hats.

Yeah, we need those hats down here in the swamp . . .

Do you see what he sees?

He sees a bear!

Coon skin cap

After all that shopping, we needed some lunch so we headed to BJ's

Matthew cut up his crayons with his fork

And the boys played the games on their menus.

Finally the food started to arrive.

James and Daddy shared a pizza

Mediterranean pizza for Daddy

I finally got my chicken sandwich.  It was good.

We took care of some business the rest of the afternoon making sure Grampa was ready to fly home in the morning.

On the way to the airport he got a call saying his flight had been cancelled.

But upon entering the airport we found he had just a few minutes to make an earlier flight so we rushed around to get his luggage and retrieve his drivers license from the ticket agent and he barely made it.

The early flight just sat and sat at the gate.

So we had a little time to kill inside the airport.

Santa was there.

He's kinda short.

Jon took pics and video with my phone.

Even I had my picture taken with Santa.  I've been good this year so no worries there.

Finally Grampa's plane left the gate

Hopefully he's making his way home safely.

We'll miss you Grampa!  Thanks so much for all of your help - we really appreciate it!  Oh, and the kids are going to be disappointed with cereal tomorrow morning!
