Odds and Ends . . . and other stuff.

Five days a week we find ourselves in the van on the way to LSU and back again to pick up James from school.  But you knew that already.

What you didn't know is that almost every day - especially Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Peter falls asleep in the van.

The other day we pulled up in the driveway and he was sleeping.  So I talked to him enough to wake him up.  He got out of the van and walked into the house.

Where he promptly laid down and fell back asleep.  Here he is sleeping right by the front door.

Jon insisted on holding Matthew while working on school.

 He didn't get much done.

Brian took James shopping on Sunday afternoon for a couple of new church shirts.

Then he sat down at the piano and I snapped a couple of pictures.

You can't hear it but it sounds pretty good.  Also he has a fresh haircut.

The following photo is a public service announcement that James is getting too old.

See, I told you.

Sunday night we gave Matthew some ice cream for the first time.

I think he liked it, but I'm not sure.

I actually do think he liked it but had a funny face because it was so cold for him.

We made a stop at the storage garage and picked up a couple of boxes of clothes that we had packed away.  We found a gem of a t-shirt that I didn't even know I had.

I put it on Peter this afternoon to take a picture.

Then he started dancing and chanting "LSU LSU LSU".  He's confused but cute!

Wow, and Holy Cow.... Yes, James is growing up too fast and that t-shirt is a blast from the past. We both were hollering on this end of the world. LOL

Your right, sort of. He's not getting to old, he's becoming a handsome young man. Alyssa is next and then Faith and so on. It's a parents joy and nightmare all in one. Trust me, I know. Like the song says, "Turn around and you're two, turn around and you're four, turn around and you're a young man going out of the door". Fact of life, Mommy. If he turns out half as great as my kids he'll be fabulous. First time for ice cream? What? He's practically a year old. Great shirt! That is probably the only one in exsitence. Your Mom still has a jacket. Cool.
